The Gospel
According to St. Bernard Shaw was originally intended to be
published in The Equinox Vol. 3, No. 2. This
publication actually reached the print stage, but Crowley was
unable to raise $1,500 for release of the printed pages, in
addition to the money required to have the book bound.3 The unbound
pages were eventually destroyed circa 1928. Crowley had
retained a bound set of page proofs which was later lost or
stolen circa 1943.6
Typed on plastiplates
by Ruth Soule, one of Roy Leffingwell's daughters using an electric typewriter.7
This edition was duplicated from these plastiplates.8
Pages bound
out of order or upside down pages are sometimes found.9,
12
Karl Germer copyrighted this book under his own name rather than
Crowley's.10 |
